Photoshop

I done further work on Photoshop. Today i spent time uploading the photos I took and then I choose with one I wanted to use and used the pen tool to cut around it, at first I cut around the picture meaning her shoulders were in. Then I created the path and as able to copy it. After doing this I realised, I just wanted her face so I used the pen tool again to cut around it. Then created the path and copied it over to my magazine advert. After doing this, I placed it in the correct position (in the glasses lens) and then changed the opacity so it wasn't as obvious. I then used the free transform to angle it. Overall, I like the way this turned out.

Photoshop

In today’s lesson, I was working on Photoshop; on my magazine advert and my front cover for my DVD. I used the pencil tool to create a star and then I copied the layer and used the free transform button to move the stars to where I wanted them to go. I chose to have the stars white as my background is black and I knew it would stand out. Also I wanted it the same colour as my writing “The Sun” etc. As well as doing this, I managed to work on the DVD cover. I realised that I could have a problem as my writing on the front goes over the spine and if I want to write on there (which I will), it may not look right and may look funny so I have got to figure a way of changing that. Although i worked on these, I also managed to spend some time looking through the mark scene and judging where I was at this stage. By doing this, I was able to see that I needed to get the rest of my picture in to be hitting the high boundaries. Even though I have two photos in there, I need the rest to be scoring high. I found this very helpful as it gave me an insight to what I was missing. During the lesson, I also managed to help a class mate figure out how to do something. Overall, I think I spent my time wisely.

Photoshop

When choosing the writing, i took the idea of the lego and had blocked writing. I done this as i decided not to have the lego featured in the sunglasses. I then decided to have the letters different colours to help it fit with my genre as well as my music video. As well as this writing, i decided to have dotted writing on my magazine advert. This made it different to the writing that the title was in but it also fitted well with my genre. However, i kept this writing white which helped make the title of the band and ablum stand out. They were the two main writing styles that i used throughout my work.
